Dr. Nancy Prober received her Psy.D. in clinical psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in 2002. She is a registered psychologist in British Columbia with over 8 years of experience assessing and treating veterans, military, and RCMP members with trauma-related disorders like Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
She was the Clinical Coordinator for two Operational Stress Injury Clinics (in Winnipeg and Vancouver), where she did clinical work, supervised psychology interns, developed and presented talks on trauma, provided consultation on trauma-related disorders, and participated in program development for the Canada-wide network of Veterans Affairs Canada OSI Clinics.
Recently, Dr. Prober went into full time private practice in which she divides her time between Changeways Clinic (www.changeways.com) and the North Shore Stress and Anxiety Clinic (www.nssac.ca). In her practice she specializes in the cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety and depression, with a special interest in treating PTSD. She is certified as a Supervisor in Prolonged Exposure Treatment by Dr. Edna Foa.
She has also served on the board of the Manitoba Psychological Society as the Continuing Education Director and President.
