Dr. Annie Simpson

Dr. Annie Simpson received her doctoral degree in Clinical Child Psychology from University of Toronto. Under the supervision of Dr. Katharina Manassis (Sick Kids), Dr. Simpson examined a cognitive behavioural prevention program for mood and anxiety disorders in school age children for her dissertation.

She currently has a private practice at the North Shore Stress and Anxiety Clinic (www.nssac.ca) and specializes in the assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders in children and youth ages 0 to 16.

Dr. Simpson's interests include the evidence based assessment and treatment of anxiety in younger children.

In addition to her private practice, Dr. Simpson is the psychologist on the infant psychiatry team (0-6 years of age) at BC Children's Hospital.

Dr. Simpson also works with CBT Connections, a consulting group that provides training and certification on the evidence-based treatment of child anxiety. She is also a consultant for AnxietyBC.
