VCC Mental Health Day

On Thursday, May 4th, AnxietyBC attended VCC’s Mental Health Day. AnxietyBC volunteer, Shab was at the Broadway campus answering questions about AnxietyBC’s resources and providing students with literature on anxiety.

Thanks to Shab and everyone else you came out to support VCC’s Mental Health Day.

Parker Art Salon

AnxietyBC was the charity of choice for the 3rd Annual Parker Art Salon. On Friday, May 5th, The Parker Street Studios were transformed into a fine art exhibition where hundreds of guests enjoyed music, food, wine, and art. Partial proceeds from the evening went to AnxietyBC.

We’d like to thank everyone who came out and supported the event.

Healthy Minds: Health Campuses’ MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH SUMMIT: CONNECTING DIVERSE COMMUNITIES

On Saturday, May 6th, The Men’s Mental Health Summit brought together community based organizations, service providers, researchers and community members to hear the preliminary results from an innovative new national study on Asian men and mental health stigma.  AnxietyBC was an exhibitor at the event and was also on hand to answer delegate questions. We were pleased to participate in the summit which reviewed findings of the study and discussed ways that we can work with men in their communities to become advocates for change.
